明治神宮は大正9年11月1日に創建。
明治天皇と昭憲皇太后をお祀りする神社で、緑豊かな総面積70万㎡のとても大きな由緒正しい神社です。
なんと東京ドーム約15コ分！ 広い！！
初詣では、日本一の参拝者数を集める神社としても有名です。 僕も、初詣を明治神宮にて参拝したことがありますが、すごい人で境内に入ってからお賽銭を投げるまで(文字通り、投げ入れなくてはならないほど人が多い)、一時間以上かかりました。
